Welcome to an Adventure Resort "conveniently" located in The Forks, Maine. It is here, at NORTHERN OUTDOORS, that we encountered true winter excitement. President Russell Walters made sure of that! Hundreds of snowmobilers gather for lunch and for dinner. Hundreds more gather simply to meet and share a story. Dozens of others (including well-known VIP's) came to over-night in deluxe lodges. The great hall has a huge fireplace plus a video and game room, a Pub and access to the Internet (FREE). Guests can be overheard speaking of the 200+ miles they drove their snowmobiles...all along the fabulously groomed trails of Maine's ITS.

Shooting in far away location always presents a challenge, especially with batteries. Did you know that in freezing temperatures, battery life is substantially reduced? No wonder the guys lugging the bags seem to know in which bags the batteries are located... especially if there a 2-mile snowshoe trek involved!

Behold! A wild salmon cooked in the Norther Outdoors kitchen. This is an orange, basel braised salmon which was eventually plated by Chef Kileen on a bed of rice!
